  1. After reading the story above a similar thing happened to me , after i gave birth to my first child, it was like someone was tucking me in, and kiss me on the cheek x

  2. I had an experience a few years ago. myself and my ex were in bed. we both woke at the same time, and we both felt a presence in the room. we both hid under the covers. then a few nights later i woke up and it felt like someone was tugging at the bottom of my quilt. i never looked though as i was quite scared. and the bottom of the bed sunk down as if someone had sat down. this happened quite often and after a while i wasn't scared anymore.

  3. I live in a 200 year old cottage which had some sort of spirit or ‘ghost’ for a while.
Around 14 years ago my partner worked night shifts and I was home alone with my two young sons. Over a period of around a year I was often woken now and again by a loud knocking which came from thin air towards the end of my bed. It sounded like a stick or knuckles on wood, very clear and loud and unmistakably human. I used to get so scared that I would lie awake for ages until my eye lids slowly closed. At the point when I was just falling asleep the knocking would happen again! I tried moving rooms but the knocking moved with me. It never happened at the weekends when Ben was here, only when I was on my own with the boys. I tried waking my dog but he was not bothered and didn’t seem to hear the knocking. It did not happen every night, and would go for weeks sometimes a month before it happened again. Eventually, one night it woke the boys up and I had to pretend it was a mouse! Then the last night I ever heard the noise, Ben was in bed with me one weekend night and it happened. I was so relieved he was there, and feeling braver I shouted, ‘just go away and leave me alone’ and it went. I was so pleased that Ben had heard it at last! I used to phone him in the night terrified and although he didn’t say he disbelieved me, I knew he thought it was some animal or other. So when he heard the knocking he knew it came from midair and was unexplainable. He was so thrilled, and thought hearing a ghost was amazing, and was annoyed with me for ‘scaring’ it away.
Hope you don’t mind me sharing this, I didn’t talk about it to anyone for so long, apart from Ben, because I was so scared. It felt like if I talked about it, it would happen more or become more real. I think it’s amazing now, and don’t feel scared in the house anymore. I would have loved to know what or who it was, and if it was trying to tell me something, maybe it was just being mischievous, I don’t know.

  4. I've had a few experiences one of which was only last year. I was pregnant with my second child and I was feeling exhausted so I went to my bed. While in my bed I thought I heard the front door opening and closing, and presumed that it was my husband returning home from work. After a few minutes I realised that this was not the case and put it down to me being tired. Anyway after about 10min I started to fall asleep but was awoken when I felt the covers being tucked in around me but no-one was in the room; I then felt the corner of the bed being weighed down as if someone was sitting on it and then I felt them reaching over as if to touch my head or kiss me on the head, at this point I freaked out slightly!!!. I went for a reading with Sky a few weeks later and she mentioned the incident and informed me that it was my brother who had come to check on me. I was grateful that Sky could give me some comfort from that experience.

  6. I was on a retreat in an farm house in the borders. I was sharing a room with4 women During the night one of the people got up to the toilet. There was a glow in the room from the light outside. I looked over to the chair by the window and saw a figure sitting on the chair holding the curtain open slightly. I thought it was one of the girls whose bed was beside the chair. I said to her why are you sitting on the chair, she said I am not I am in my bed. The figure was in a white gown and looked like a female. Everyone else was in bed we put the light on and it was gone. I asked the lady who run the retreat centre was there anything strange about the room we were sleeping in. She said did you see the grey lady? There was seemingly a story of a grey lady who was often seen in the house especially in the room we were sleeping in. None of us knew this so it was not suto suggestion.I do believe in a spirit world whcih some people are gifted to be connected with it. The weekend was to connect with your Higher Self.

  7. my story begins over 40 years ago although i have had a few experiences this none i will never forget,When i was about 14years of age, myself and my father were awoken by someone thumping on our front door, it was quite frightening as it suggested that they were wanting in, my mother slept through this and so did our next door neighbour who had reciently lost her husband and was awake all night. Anyway we went downstair to open the front door but there was no one there. It was early new years morning so put ot down to someone playing around , and went back to bed, only to be woken 2hours later with the same thumping on the door,,my father and myself investigated only to find yet again there was no one to be seen.Next morning we got the terrible news that my fathers brother had been out with his family and was going to a friends house, when my young cousin ran across the road and was hit by a car this was about 12,45am and was the exact time we were woken from our sleep , he was taken to there local hospital but sadly died about 3.10am the exact time we were woken on the second occassion, my father is no longer with me but i sometimes feel his presence, and dont know if this is a gift i have or just plain coincidence, what do you think.

  8. When my husband first died 18 years ago, I had my nephew staying with me for a week after the funeral.
I had gone to bed and was woken up at around 2.00am with the smell of frying onions. Thinking that it was my nephew making himself some supper, I just turned over and went back to sleep. About an hour later I heard him come in.
This has made me think that it was John letting me know that he is okay, I would like to believe that. I found out a week later that my nephew doesn't even like fried onions, so I hope it was John.

  9. I have two boys of a young age, one who is very open to telling me storys of years gone by where he was before now! he tells his tales of places he worked and things that he has done in his life, he is only 6 after all.Only thing is that his tales are very real but he was an old man when he talks about these past times. He also has the ability to see family who have passed over and recently one who was passing over but was not ready to go, I spent the last hours of her life with her as she was my aunty, we were a few hundred miles away at the time, he told my husband who was caring for him that she kept putting her hand up to tell them she wasnt ready to go yet, those hundreds of miles away i was confused to why she kept raising her hand to the wall as if she was pushing something/one away from her when she could hardly even move. i was unaware of what he had said until i returned home later that evening.
He also sees my pets that have passed over telling me that they are waiting for us.
As a young child i also had the gift of what are family call the middle sight as it runs in the family with alot of us still having some ability of extra sense, only today did i know i had a visitor beside me whilst i was ironing, i decided i was cold enough and asked him to leave and come back later! so he kindly did so. its nice to know that it has passed on to my sons as i was never allowed to speak about my ability as my mother did not like to know these things as it is my fathers family trait!

  10. The Cat with no claws.

A while ago I was walking along and noticed a cat lying by the roadside. I went over and had a close look- a white and black cat, sadly recently dead, I gave it wee stroke, and proceeded on my way. Clearly it had been hit by a car. I was rather surprised, passing by the same spot again, a short while later, to note the cat had gone. Presumably someone had seen it, perhaps the owner, and taken it away...

A month or more later I was in that area and was told an interesting story.

A neighbour of someone I know, had noticed their cat was limping. On closer inspection, it's feet were bleeding.
They took it to the vet. The vet was mystified. The poor cat had no claws!

Apparently, when a cat is run over, at the last minute before impact, it digs its claws into the road surface, instinctively braced for impact. Consequently, cats that have been hit by cars - have no claws.

However- this particular cat , had no other injuries whatsoever. It must have been hit by a car, as proven by the missing claws- yet no injuries- just the claws missing. How was that possible? No one had an answer.

What colour was the cat- I never bothered to find out- white and black? Maybe...

Still, lucky cat- sore tootsies - & not a scratch on it !!!

  11. since my daughter was little we have felt that there is some other being in our flat, only a few occasions now we have saw a shadow of someone normally when the little ones in the bath. my girlfriend was in the room and i saw the shadow walk from living room into bathroom i was convinced it was my girlfriend but she was still having a nap when checked. she has also saw this shadow figure at the same part of house but this time going from kids room to bathroom, i heard her say something so i answered back, she cam into room in shock asking if i had moved when i told her no, kinda freaked out.lol i am not lying as i am a kind of sceptic myself but these encounters left me feeling chilled to the bone. and my daughters room dosen't feel right at bedtime. make of this as you will, just thought i would share :o)

  12. There have been many occasions where I have woken up hearing a gentleman call my name. Yet there is never anybody else in the house. It seems that my cat also hears this voice as she is always staring at the spot where the voice has come from. She always seems to be looking at things that I cannot see. Well, a few weeks back when I awoke to this mans voice again, I looked over at the end of my bed and I saw him, at least from the hips up, I couldn't see any legs though which I would have found very disturbing except that he was smiling at me and looked so friendly. I have no idea who this man is, but I have a lot to thank him for as so often he has woken me up when I have slept in and would have been late for work if it was not for him. Spooky, but not in a bad way. I enjoy these experiences, though I wish I hadn't shared it with my friends and family because now they are too scared to visit me at my house!

  13. My story is not that thrilling really, compared to the previous ones anyway.
I regularly read Tarot Cards and whenever I am using them the lights always flicker like crazy! I don't believe it's a simple as an electrical fault because it never happens at any othetr time. Though I constantly hear footseps around my bedroom at night, but I am sure this is my grandmother, as I only began noticing it after she passed. We were very close so it would not surprise me if she was visiting me regularly. It doesn't scare me at all, I only wish I knew for certain it was her.
Sky...I think I should be booking another reading with you! ;)

  14. My experience last year was like something out of a horror movie. My husband and I were travelling back home form my parents after a visit with them. We decided to take the short cut along the back roads. As we were driving by these dark and desserted fields and I had the strangest sensation of being watched. As I looked to the left out of my window, I was so startled to see this woman standing at the verge of the road. I was shocked at her appearance, as she looked ill and miserable. I said to my husband that maybe we should go back and make sure that she is okay. He was adamant that I was imagining things as he had not seen anyone. However we made a turn and went back the way we came to see if she was still there and maybe needing help. Of course there was nobody there, but what we did see was this really low floating mist stretched across the very narrow road. It was very creepy, as the mist did not appear to be over any of the fields or anywhere else! But there it was in the middle of the road in the same area I had seen a woman just a few moments previously. We stopped the car in front of this patch of mist and my partner started to get a little freaked out about driving through it, though the road was not wide enough for us to turn around. We went for it feeling we had no choice, it was the strangest experience. We were both certain that the mist was actually in the car with us as we passed through it, things seemed to haze over in the car as we moved right through it. Well you can imagine how shaken up we were by this experience, we were so creeped out by it that we did not turn back the way we were originally heading but instead took the significantly longer route home. Anything to avoid going back there again. Since then, we always take the long route to and from my parents. We have tried to share this story with a few people but they think that we are just trying to wind them up. Well, I hope those reading this will believe me. It is nice to have a place to share our story without being laughed at. I don't think I will ever forget this experince and it has definitely left me fairly nervous about what is really possible .
